Overview
The Printmaking BFA at Myers School of Art combines hands-on studio practice with an exploration of the history and contemporary possibilities of printed art. You’ll develop a strong technical and conceptual foundation in printmaking while learning to think critically, solve creative problems and experiment with the medium.
Through independent and collaborative work, you’ll refine your skills, develop your individual artistic voice and build the habits of an active, engaged artist. The program prepares you for professional work in printmaking and the visual arts as well as graduate study.

Membership information
Membership to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center may be purchased at the information office in the SRWC. Membership includes access to the SRWC, Ocasek Natatorium, free group exercise classes, discounted programs and much more.
Enrollment
Members must enroll in-person in the SRWC on through the online portal.
The Membership Office is open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm, or by appointment by calling 330-972-7637.
We will gladly offer you a tour of our facility to highlight available opportunities and member benefits.
Please bring a valid government-issued ID with you.
Payment in full is required at time of enrollment, monthly payment plans are available.

The Myers School of Art Printshop is a shared, collaborative environment with 24-hour access for printmaking students. Intermediate and advanced students may also compete for dedicated studio space, giving them additional room to develop their work and artistic practice.
Gain hands-on experience working with visiting printmakers through thINKeditions, the Printmaking Program’s subscription print club. Each year, thINKeditions supports visiting and emerging printmaker residencies, giving students opportunities to assist artists in printing editions of their work and participate in discussions about contemporary printmaking.
Take your work and experience beyond the printshop. Students can exhibit on campus and at regional venues, participate in Akron Printmaking Enthusiasts (APE) and engage with the Akron and Northeast Ohio communities through museum, school and community printmaking demonstrations and events.
Students also have opportunities to travel to professional gatherings, including the Southern Graphics Council International and Mid America Print Council conferences.
