Welcome! 

For over 100 years theatre and dance have been cornerstones to our campus community. Our faculty of professional artists are actively working in their respective fields providing students with networking opportunities. Our programs include bachelor of fine arts (BFA) in Dance and bachelor of arts (BA) degrees in Dance with a Business Cognate. We also offer a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Arts Administration, a program that is a member of The Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE). 

Each year the School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration presents 6-10 productions in theatre and dance. We have professional community partners, The National Center of Choreography Akron and Rubber City Theatre, in residence at the school providing the potential of additional performance opportunities and networking with local and national artists. Our facilities include 7 state of the art dance studios, including one that can double as a performance space, 2 black box theatres, and 1 traditional proscenium space. 

The School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration is part of the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college on the UA campus. We remain one of the best opportunities to explore your potential in the fields of dance and theatre and make your Akron Experience exciting and memorable.  The University of Akron Dance program is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance.
