The University’s alumni ranks grew by three recently, as the contributions of area residents Carl A. Albright and Rennick and DeeDee Andreoli were recognized by President Luis M. Proenza, who named them Honorary Alumni during award presentations.

Carl Albright is recognized as an Honorary Alumnus by UA President Luis M. Proenza.

Carl Albright, who is president and chief executive officer of InfoCision Management Corporation, is credited with helping make InfoCision Stadium a reality. The state-of-the-art facility, which opened on campus in September 2009, benefits the University, its students and alumni, and the Greater Akron community in which InfoCision is headquartered.

Albright’s professional success also makes him an exemplary role model for UA students. His contributions to the significant growth of InfoCision – now the second largest, privately held teleservices company in the world – earned him a Visionary Award at the Smart Business Innovation in Business Conference.

In addition, Albright and his wife, Lori, have demonstrated their strong commitment to the community by founding their own nonprofit charity, Helping America’s Children, and supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the many local community boards on which Albright serves.

“Through Carl’s professional integrity and success, community leadership and involvement, and personal largesse and commitment, he has enriched the lives of countless individuals,” noted Proenza.

As advocates for The University of Akron, and for education in general, Rennick and DeeDee Andreoli have created an annual scholarship in Hospitality Management at UA, and established a charitable endowment for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.Rennick Andreoli, chief executive and co-founder of a successful hotel company, was instrumental in enabling the purchase, adaptation and use of Quaker Square by The University of Akron as a world-class residence hall and lodging for visitors. He has been honored with both the Fairlawn Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Business Person of the Year and the Sales and Marketing Executives’ Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award.

The Andreolis are deeply involved in their community as well, supporting the Akron Art Museum, Akron Community Foundation, Scenic Ohio, Stewart’s Caring Place, Habitat for Humanity, Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, and the Stephen A. Comunale Junior Cancer Foundation, which Rennick Andreoli founded. In 2009, he was presented with the Outstanding Philanthropist Award from the North Central Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

“Through their commitment to education, philanthropy and community involvement, the Andreolis have improved the world in which we live,” said Proenza.

“Carl Albright and Rennick and DeeDee Andreoli all model the wisdom and values that we at the University seek to impart to our students. For those reasons, and many others, I am proud to name them Honorary Alumni of The University of Akron.”
