ACADEMICS

The University of Akron School of Law provides one of the most comprehensive IP programs in the country. We offer more than 30 courses in the field and four degrees: an LL.M. (Master of Laws) ; a joint J.D./LL.M.; and certificates for J.D. students and non- J.D. students. In addition, Akron offers a joint J.D./MBA degree and a Master's degree in Engineering and Polymer Science with integrated courses in IP law and business. Meet our leadership and faculty.

EXPERIENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES

Students in the IP program take advantage of an array of experiential opportunities: two IP-related legal clinics, a med-tech entrepreneur program, a Washington D.C. IP externship, the student-led IP & Technology Law Association, international IP programs in South Africa, Vietnam, and India, and the annual IP issue of the Akron Law Review. The IP program hosts distinguished guest speakers, a major annual IP symposium, and the annual IP Scholars Forum. Students have further opportunities to network with practitioners at the Intellectual Property Advisory Council and the Cleveland IP Law Association.
