UA students are invited on an academic and cultural enrichment journey: a trip to China. Sponsored by the Confucius Institute, the trip is scheduled for June 8 to July 1 and is open to up to 20 eligible students, or anyone in the UA community who has completed at least one semester of Chinese or the three-week intense Chinese language course the institute will offer in May.
Full funding will be provided for:
- Chinese language classes at Henan University. Students will receive three to four hours of language instruction daily
- Lodging accommodations
- Meals
- Tours to Kaifeng, the Yellow River, Xi’an, Shaolin Temple, Bejing and the Great Wall
Participants will be responsible for the costs of their round-trip airfare, passport and visa. One credit hour may be earned. Interested students can attend an introductory session on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at noon in Leigh Hall 414 (Note: the room has changed from the first posting).
