Our Mission

The Planning, Strategy & Insights Department (“PSI”) at the University of Akron is the University’s source for comprehensive information, analyses and statistics, and data insights. PSI works closely with offices throughout the university to provide data, conduct analyses, streamline report creation processes, and design and implement systems required for timely business decisions, compliance, accreditation, staffing, and student retention efforts. We also provide data to external sources including the federal and state government, publications, and various other organizations.

We strive to provide not only data, but insights into the data so that our leadership team, our Board of Trustees, UA staff, and accreditation boards can make informed decisions.
