HOW TO APPLY TO THE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

Application Process Step-By-Step

1. Apply to the Office of Admissions (OOA) website here: https://uakron.edu/admissions/undergraduate#apply  
   
   
2. After formal admission to the University and OOA, students are admitted as a pre-major admit to the undergraduate program
   
   
3. The following requirements must be completed prior to formal admission to the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SSLPA) major:
   
   • Complete 30 credit hours or coursework, with a cumulative 3.0 GPA, including these courses:
     • STAT:250 Statistics for Every Day Life -OR- STAT:260 Basic Statistics
     • BIOL:200 & 201 Human Anatomy and Physiology I +Lab 
     • BIOL:202 & 203 Human Anatomy and Physiology II +Lab
     • PSYC:100 Intro to Psychology
     • SLPA:110 Intro to Disorders of Communication
       
       
4. Students will be admitted to the major after completing the above and meeting with their assigned SSLPA advisor: https://www.uakron.edu/health/ssc/
