ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Designed for CPAs, tax attorneys, bankers, business owners and other professionals with an interest in state and local taxation. This full-day conference focuses on the core Ohio State and multistate taxation topics that are impacting you. As the most comprehensive state and local tax conference in Ohio, it offers wide-ranging discussions of key taxation issues facing taxpayers, businesses and tax professionals in Ohio and other states. This is your chance to get up-to-date information you need from the experts you know and trust on topics that affect This year's conference will cover the latest information relative to Ohio sales/use tax, commercial activity tax, personal income tax/pass-through entity tax and multistate tax issues.

Matt Chafin, Ohio Department of Taxation Deputy Director will provide an update from the Commissioner's office.

Afternoon sessions include panel discussions about economic development incentives, State tax issues related to COVID-19 and an exclusive discussion with Ohio Supreme Court Justice Pat Dewine who will take us behind the bench in tax cases.

The SALT Conference is an outreach activity of The University of Akron's Master of Taxation program (MTax). Consider the MTax to build or sharpen your credentials as a tax specialist. The MTax is a 30-credit professional degree designed to provide intensive training for individuals planning to enter the tax field and for experienced accountants and attorneys.
