NEW FRESHMAN & TRANSFER STUDENTS

One of the most exciting parts about going to college is living on campus. Here's what you need to do. The housing application for incoming first-year and transfer students for the 2024-2025 academic year will open on Feb. 10, 2024, at 9 a.m. in My Akron.

CURRENT STUDENTS

The housing application for the 2024-25 academic year will open on Jan. 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. in My Akron. Returning students who complete the Housing Application/Contract by April 1 will have access to participate in returning room selection. Returning students who complete their housing application between April 2 and May 15, will be able to participate in general room selection with new students.

Students who complete the Housing Application/Contract by the priority deadline (May 15) will have access to My College Roomie to find a roommate and will be able to participate in online room selection. We accept housing contracts at any time (even after the start of the contract period), however, students who complete the contract after May 15 will be manually assigned a room by our housing staff.

Friday, April 1:	Priority Deadline to Sign-up for Housing for Residents. Returning residents who signup by this deadline will select their room before new students.
Monday, April 4:	Your Room selection time will be sent to your University of Akron email
Thursday, April 7:	Deadline to form any roommate groups in My College Roomie
April 11 - April 15:	Returning Resident Room Selection. Your specific selection time will be sent to your University of Akron email on Monday, April 4.
Week of May 23:	Returning residents who do not select a room during Returning Room Selection and returners who completed an application after April 1 will be eligible to select a room along with new students during this week.
