About SENS
The School of Exercise & Nutrition Sciences (SENS) prepares students to become competent, dynamic, and responsible professionals in the field(s) of Exercise Science , Sport Studies/Coaching, and Food & Environmental Nutrition. Our approach to courses, labs, professional preparation, and faculty and staff interaction all support this mission.
Three undergraduate majors including Exercise Science, Sport Studies/Coaching, and Food & Environmental Nutrition, along with two graduate programs including Exercise Physiology/Adult Fitness and Sport Science Coaching are designed to maximize relevancy for students as they pursue career goals. Our highly experienced, committed faculty are focused on engaging students in innovative instruction and providing individualized mentoring and support for students throughout their academic journeys.
Our labs and classrooms are located in InfoCision Stadium and Schrank Hall South, both state-of-the-art facilities that include fully equipped, high-tech classrooms and research labs.These facilities allow students the opportunity to gain experience and practice. The Nutrition Center and the Human Performance Lab within these buildings offer nutrition and fitness assessments, respectively, to faculty, staff, students, and community members
In addition to our classrooms and labs, experiential learning also occurs as field experiences and practicums, in the community, alongside numerous industry professionals. We’d love to see you for a campus visit to learn more about our school!!
