Zippy’s All-Star Marching Band

Who can join?

Any current (Fall 2022) high school band student. The All-Star Marching Band is open to individual students who want to perform perform with 'Ohio's Pride,' the UA Marching Band, on the field at halftime and in the stands for the Zips Football home game at InfoCision Stadium.

Please note: You may sign up any amount of band members to participate or your whole band.

Registration fee

A $15 fee will be collected when you report to the stadium on the day of the event. This fee covers the cost for your Zippy's All-Star T-Shirt and lunch between the morning rehearsal and the game. Cash or check (made out to The University of Akron) are accepted.

What to bring

• Members of the All-Star Marching Band should bring their own instrument, except for percussion (drum line) and sousaphones (provided by UA on a first to register basis).
• A pole and flag will be provided for Color Guard Members.
• Twirlers should plan to design their own personal single or double baton routine to our music (sent out in September).
• The Uniform for the day will be blue jeans, tennis shoes, and a "Zippy's All-Star Marching Band" t-shirt - provided during check in at the stadium.

Note: A ticket is not needed for those performing with Zippy's All-Star Marching Band
