How to apply to the School of Music
FOR PROSPECTIVE UNDERGRADUATES
1. Apply to UA! We now accept the Common App as well. When you apply, submit a non-refundable $50 application fee, high school transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores. Admissions deadlines.
Admissions criteria for freshmen
Scholarship audition dates for the 2023-2024 academic year:
- Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024
- Monday, Feb. 19, 2024
- Friday, March 15, 2024
- In-person and virtual auditions by appointment. Contact admissions for details.
All scholarship auditions must be completed by March 15, 2024.
- See audition requirements for each area of study in the School of Music. Each student will be tested on keyboard proficiency and music theory for placement into the proper class.

Deadline for School of Music scholarship consideration is Friday, March 3, 2023. Please check individual deadlines for other scholarships available.
4. Every student should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Deadline for priority consideration is Dec. 1.
6. Need housing? Visit the Residence Life and Housing site to learn about the options available.
7. Explore our prestigious Williams Honors College. Students interested in the Williams Honors College must complete a supplemental application and meet the admissions criteria.
